Character Styling Vol 1 - The Cat is a book that is dedicated to ideas for developing characters, graphics and textures with a cartoonlike influence.  Vol 1 explores the development of the “Cat” in a variety of cartoon styles and follows the design from the sum of each part (eyes, ears, body, etc.) to the overall character in total. The figure is explored doing a variety of activities and wearing a selection of costumes shown individually and in prints all done in a whimsical style.

There are 6 different “species” of cats explored in the same simple stylistic way all depicted with a variety of movements and from different perspectives (front, back and side views.) The figures, details and designs can be freely altered and used as a basis for creating other cartoonlike whimsical creatures. All characters, details, Logos, prints and concepts are on the enclosed CD-ROM in Vector files and may be opened in Illustrator 6, Corel Draw 8, Freehand 8 and any version of Photoshop.
